1. What is Shooftv.com?
Shooftv.com is Arab Media Group’s latest venture into new media. It is 100% user-generated, with content coming from users all over the Middle East . Shooftv.com is the next generation of entertainment and communication, showcasing talent and creative skills to the whole world.
As well as being a cross-media platform, Shooftv.com will also host many competitions that encourage talent in the Middle East . It will give participants the chance to enter their original clips to win various prizes and cash in a competition, which consists of selected categories. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges and by public SMS voting.
2. Who can participate in the competitions?
Everyone, except AMG employees, can take part in the competition.
3. How can I upload my clip? You can upload your clip through here. The Clips can also be sent via regular post to “Shoof Competition, P.O. Box #: 500666, Dubai , UAE” along with a signed Submission Form and contact mobile number.
4. Can I send multiple clips and/or participate in more than one category and/or many competition(s)?
You can upload and participate as many as you like.
5. In which format should my clip be?
You can upload your file in the following formats: *.mpeg , *.dat , *.wmv , *.avi , *.mov , *.mpg , *.flv , *.3gp, *.rm, *.mp4. Your file should not exceed 50MB. If you would like to send a file larger then 50MB, you can send your clip via regular mail to “Shoof Competition, P.O. Box #: 502012, Dubai , UAE” along with a signed Submission Form and contact mobile number.
6. How long does it take for my clip to appear online?
After being screened for objectionable content, the clip should appear immediately. However, clips sent through postal mail may require 1-2 working days to process and appear online.
7. How do the clips get chosen and featured on www.shooftv.com?
We screen the clips for objectionable content and originality before passing them on to our judging panel. After the initial screening, the chosen clips are then featured on our website and are ready for APPLAUSE.
8. What is APPLAUSE?
APPLAUSE is a new voting system exclusively for the SHOOFtv.com Daily Competition. Viewers can show their appreciation for a video clip by adding their APPLAUSE and clicking on the APPLAUSE icon. You can only APPLAUSE once for a clip.
9. What should I do if I lose my pass code?
You can reset your pass code and receive a new one to your mobile number by clicking here.
10. When will the winners be announced?
